Store Update

  • Posted on January 19, 2012 at 9:23 am

With the weather and roads as they are here in the Seattle area, the store will be CLOSED today.
Our Cricut 101 class that was scheduled for tonight at 6 pm has been rescheduled for next Thurs., Jan. 26th at 6 pm. If you are not able to make that time, please let us know.

If you are interested in taking the class but couldn’t make tonight, yet can now make it, there is still space available.  You can sign up online here or call the store to reserve your spot.

Seattle “Snowpocalypse 2012″

  • Posted on January 18, 2012 at 9:18 am

Well they have hyped up this storm and it has gotten national attention.  Finally they got it right and it hit big time.  With that, our store is closed so that everyone can be safe at home.

So we would like to know what you are doing to enjoy this lovely weather.  Share your thoughts and if you would like, share your photos on our special gallery page here.

Remember to be safe, and if you must go out, please take it slow and watch out for other drivers and remember the safety rules for winter driving.

Winter Weather Is Upon Us

  • Posted on January 15, 2012 at 10:07 am

When I woke up this morning, I was greeted by a beautiful sight, snow. Personally, I love snow. It has such a pristine beauty about it that I can’t explain. Now I know there are mixed feelings about snow, and each person is ok in their feelings but I hope everybody enjoys it in whichever way they feel, whether going out and playing in it or sitting inside curled up nice and warm and just viewing it from the comfort of their home. But if you do go out on the roads, please be safe and be careful.

This also reminds of two things I want to pass along regarding snow:

1) Our monthly Card Club/Swap that is meeting on Jan. 28th and the theme for this months card is “Snow”

2) The store follows the schedule of the schools regarding snow days.  Simply put, if the schools are closed due to snow, so will we close.  Our store is located in Highline School District so you can get a better idea.  This is for the safety of everyone involved.  I would recommend that on questionable days you call the store first before venturing out.

So enjoy your day!

Thank you for being such a great follower of Mimi’s, we definitely couldn’t do it without you.

Celebration of Life

  • Posted on January 9, 2012 at 8:29 pm
This Saturday, Jan. 14th from 9am-11am at the store, we will be celebrating the wonderful life of Cheri(Mimi) Mosher Sefton. All friends, customers, and anyone touched by her life are welcome to attend.

At the request of the family, flowers can be sent to the shop, or you are welcome to make a donation in Cheri’s name to either the American Cancer Society or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to help find a cure to this dreadful disease. Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts for the family. Knowing this is a help as they grieve this tragic loss.

What A Weekend!

  • Posted on January 9, 2012 at 2:37 pm

This past weekend we held our monthly All Weekend Crop. And despite the passing of Cheri and in honor of her, I believe all had a blast, I know I did!  It was great, we had a PJ night on Saturday and, although all did not participate(and that’s ok), it was great to see those who did.  From me, I am glad for those that showed and I was grateful to meet all you wonderful ladies.

Of course I wonder how many actually got work done because it seemed that only about half were really working.  We saw some old faces show up, and some new ones.

Angela, held an impromptu couponing class that was really helpful, especially in this current economy.

I look forward to next month.  I hope to see you there.

Remember to sign up early as spots have been filling up quickly lately.

Thank you Chris, Holly, Brandi, Jen, Meredith, Sheila, Heather, Angela, Danise, Vicki, Heidi, and Noelle(please forgive any spelling errors) for making it a GREAT weekend!
